We arrived on the first floor, running as fast as we could, and there were no infected following us. They seemed to be entangled in obstacles, stumbling and struggling, or wandering on other random floors. The time we had bought by stacking desks was our only stroke of luck. However, we couldn't relax. The longer the darkness lingered, the more disadvantageous it was for us. We needed to turn on the lights as soon as possible.

"We have to go underground, quickly. I think the circuit breaker switch down there has been turned off." I said as I caught my breath.

I shifted my foot to go downstairs, but suddenly, my body was forcefully pulled back.

Youngwon grabbed my arm with great strength. "No, we can't."

"Why?"

A tense silence hung in the air.

I turned my body again.

He was gripping my arm so tightly that I thought it might break.

I suppressed a groan. "Why not? What's down there? You said there were no infected or supplies."

He remained silent, his face stiff and unyielding. His silence only confirmed my suspicions.

Another piece of the puzzle fell into place.

I took a moment to gather myself.
